Superflat® Repel
As new concrete in interior or exterior locations continues to cure over time, there are fibrils and pores that develop within the bulk of the material that are open game for the deposit of water and the chemicals that the water may contain. By filling those pores and fibrils with Superflat® Repel™, the concrete surface is effectively sealed against the egress of material that may be deleterious to its structural integrity. Annual or biannual application of Superflat® Repel™ will add years to the look and function of your interior and exterior project.
Superflat® Repel™ is a superior pH-neutral sealant that penetrates new concrete and forms a sealed barrier, reducing porosity on interior or exterior concrete surfaces and creating a resistance to the egress of water and water-borne chemicals that ultimately result in cracking of the surface.
Snow and ice mitigation chemicals such as salt and other de-icers are notorious for making their way into concrete pores and remaining there, causing damage to occur in concrete. This common condition does not represent a defective or failing product but does create an aesthetic eyesore should cracking subsist. When in contact with water and the chemicals it carries, interior and exterior floors treated with Superflat® Repel™ will simply bead up and evaporate at the surface.
Areas of extreme traffic are the perfect candidate for Superflat® Repel™, as Superflat® Repel™ is not a surface coating but rather a penetrating sealant that fills in blemishes below the surface. Superflat® Repel™ can last for up to two years before re-application is necessary.

Technical Data Sheet | Safety Data Sheet
Superflat® Block™ is recommended for use whenever environmental conditions pose a potential risk for moisture migration or high levels of vapor emissions. Ideal applications include floors in industrial plants, distribution centers, airports and warehouses when impervious floor systems need to be installed over finished concrete.
Superflat® Block™ is a nanotechnology formulation in combination with finely crushed calcium carbonate in Type 1L cement that has proven to produce desirable results in the most significant ASTM test methods related to concrete slab testing.
The resulting physical traits include surface hardness, resistance to wear, vapor loss, hydration completeness, lack of scaling, and ultimate strength.
Superflat® Block™ is a nanoparticle silica emulsion admix for Type 1L cement that promotes an early and more complete hydration reaction. The interaction of nanoparticle silica with finely crushed calcium carbonate begins early and leads to higher compressive, flexural, and ultimate strength values in concrete slabs (both vertical tilt-up) and horizontal (floor slabs). Superflat® Block™ has proven in relatable ASTM tests to produce better consolidation (harder surface), lower vapor loss (continued hydration), and higher ultimate strength than competitive products.
Superflat® Block™ provides for an early initiation of the concrete hydration reaction that changes the development of the capillary structure within the slab and fills unoccupied space. The resulting finished substrate creates an environment that does not allow moisture migration from sub grade sources or topically due to design of the capillary system and the properties contained in the proprietary chemistry.
When Superflat® Block™ is specified, minimum concrete design mixes begin at 5,000 psi. The neutrality of the chemistry makes Superflat® Block™ compatible with shrink compensation and light weight design mixes.
Superflat® Block™ consolidates concrete at higher levels than concrete that is placed without treatment of Superflat® Block™, which means a harder material at the surface and improved resistance to wear. Superflat® Block™ was developed to be an admixture blended into the Type 1L concrete mix at the ready-mix plant and followed by one spray-on topical application on-site during the finishing operation.
Superflat® Block™ will not prevent proper bond and adhesion with traditional floor covering adhesives. Concrete roughness of CSP 1 thru CSP 3 can be specified and achieved if epoxy floor systems are desired. Shot blasting, vertical milling and grinding is allowed if a rougher CSP or surface texture is required by the floor covering manufacturer before the coating is installed. This environmentally safe, water-based product features a zero VOC content and provides an attractive option in green building applications.
ASTM testing has been conducted on this product. Concrete floors treated with Superflat® Block™ exceed minimum requirements in accordance with ASTM C309 standards.

Technical Data Sheet | Safety Data Sheet
Superflat® Protect™ is a superior strength concrete hardener, sealer and protectant in a ready-to-use colorless liquid formula with advanced stain protection. It is strongly recommended for use wherever chemically treated, densified, hardened, dust proofed, and improved abrasion-resistant surfaces are required in wet environments. Ideal applications include floors in industrial plants and warehouses.
Superflat® Protect™ hardens and dust proofs concrete with nano-sized particles with advanced stain protection. The reacted surface creates an environment that does not welcome moisture or topical water spills. Treated surfaces will keep common spills and other moisture suspended on the surface of the concrete substantially longer than untreated surfaces.
After application, Superflat® Protect™ is not water-soluble and will not break down. Once properly applied, the finished surface provides substantial improvement in abrasion resistance and will significantly improve the durability of the surface when compared to untreated concrete.
Once Superflat® Protect™ is applied the chemical reaction takes place, producing a byproduct that fills in the pores of the concrete one molecule at a time, closing down the surface of the concrete and preventing excessive vapor loss for a slower curing process making for a much stronger substrate.
Tested PSI proves to increase by 40%. Superflat® Protect™ solidifies the concrete, eliminating dusting, pitting and excessive wear. It is chemically engineered to provide simple, quick, sustainable performance. Superflat® Protect™ is simply sprayed on and left moist on the surface for 20 minutes. In this short period of time, the colorless liquid quickly penetrates the surface. Unlike traditional densifiers, Superflat® Protect™ does not require brushing into the surface, rinsing, or removal of excessively applied material.
After application, the resulting surface will feature enhanced protection and sheen, coupled with superior abrasion resistance. This environmentally safe, water-based product features a zero VOC content and provides an attractive option in green building applications.

What questions should I be asking about Superflat®’s Chemical Solutions?
How do I protect my concrete from stains and etch?
Concrete acts like a sponge and will readily absorb nearly any type of liquid. Acidic products adversely react with the alkaline nature of concrete and can cause etching on the concrete surface. Strong acids left on an unprotected concrete surface for extended times can cause permanent damage to the concrete floor. On the other side of the pH scale, petroleum liquids can also bury deep into the concrete surface causing ugly staining. Concrete sealers on the market, focus on either the alkaline or acid side of stain protection, but the unique chemical blend found in Superflat® Repel™. Superflat® Repel™ protects your investment from both acidic and alkaline attacks.
What is 1L and why should I care?
There is a major push to move all cement mixes from Type I or Type II cement to Type 1L Portland limestone cement. This change isn’t driven by a better mix, rather as part industry’s goal to lower Portland cement’s carbon footprint by using unrefined limestone. This change in materials (un-refined limestone) calls for a whole different approach to chemical additives for the cement mix to properly harden, bond, and avoid structural failure. Superflat® Block™ is the answer the industry has been looking for. See Superflat® Block™ for all the technical data collected over years of development to solve these challenges.
Why do I have this white haze on my concrete floor?
The white haze or white powder found on the surface of concrete is generally caused by efflorescence. Efflorescence is generally caused by vapor migrating through the concrete pushing soluble salts to the surface of the concrete. This is especially an issue in areas of high humidity or high ground water around the slab. This issue can be treated and avoided with Superflat® Protect™ with nanotechnology to seal and protect the surface. See Superflat® Protect™ for technical and application instructions for treatment.
